Mistress Musella: would you – go to a sex convention

I’ll admit I’m curious. Yes, there will be giggles and stares. There will also be intrigue and hopefully something new to learn…about humans and myself.

What would be your one question to ask an adult performer?

One question for the adult toy maker?

One for the masked man or leather lady?

What question would you ask yourself?

Friday Frolics: The erotic review

Here's to the last Friday of October!

Getting ready for Halloween, so Alix is going to take us straight to: If you review erotic, do you review the sex scenes too? Do you expect your scenes to be reviewed as well?

I’ve reviewed many erotic books and yes, I review the sex scenes too. Not as thoroughly as the rest of the book, I take notice if it’s realistic and possible (or the complete opposite). Like sex in a hammock, it’s fully possible although, unless you’ve practiced, it takes some talent. If I don’t mention the sex scenes (excluding hotness level, lol) then nothing caught my OCD. And yes, I expect my scenes to be reviewed too. If I’ve written something that’s not believable I expect to be called out on it.

Thank you for dropping over, we appreciate it. Have a fun weekend and hope to you see next week.

Mistress Musella: Asking the tough questions

I’m glad I’m taken. Free from the reality of today’s single life. Not part of the multiple partners and adventurers.

Surprised?

Why? A studier of human nature does not mean a full on participator.

However, should that ever change, there are questions to be asked. Tough and possibly awkward questions.

Health questions. Partner questions and not just numbers.

Life changes. And where the generation before worried over reputation, curable diseases, and pregnancies. Today’s world takes on life and death. Though, thankfully long lives are possible.

We are also faced with the changing – for the better – views on just who we share ourselves with. The emotions are still there, the fear of not being enough. Of, why her, or him, and not me.

Today’s world needs us present asking and speaking the tough and awkward.

Friday Frolics is…

…coming.

Or is that cumming?

Today’s question is: How many ways can you write "I'm ____ before it becomes boring an overused.

Erotic writing is the same as most other genres in that any word can become overused. Every writer has their habit; favourite phrasings, whether they’re good or bad isn’t something that should be kept during edits.

If you write the scene action and show your readers the moments then you can save the climax for your more vocal characters.

Thank you for dropping over, we appreciate it. Have a fun weekend and hope to you see next week.
