Love partnered with lust is magic. Lust minus the love is to play with hidden levels locked away, if only for the moment.
Either can turn dark, but both are fulfilling. They are the flip side of similar coins.
Why then does one shine with acceptability and the other resides locked behind the door. One we mask in light and talk about keeping it alive and new. The other we relish, crave…it feeds our excitement.
We have forgotten ourselves, our base needs and desires. We force these into boxes – one size fits all, when nothing is further from the truth.
We do not fit the same box. The same desires. We are as unique to these longings as we are in our DNA. We may share the same yearnings but each varies with the person giving into their hungers.
There is no love versus lust. They co-exist in harmony. At least they would if we allowed them.
If we gave ourselves permission to give into ourselves.
