authors with you as often as we can…promise.
So, for today - please put your
hands together for Muse It Hot Author, Alix
Richards, who loves to write paranormal erotic romance with a deep sensual
understanding between her heroines and heroes;) If you like hot with immortals
and shifters, you’re going to fall in love with her Twin Flames Series and her newest release Twin Flames: Soul Destiny
and stay tuned for more stories in this series coming soon; )
Okay…here’s Alix…
Please tell our readers a little about yourself – 5 things
most people don’t know about you; )
I have
a horrible temper. One that scares those who come in contact with it. Not
something to be proud of, but it’s a part of me. J
Dirt
under my nails drives me crazy! Seriously, I can’t handle it. And if I see dirt
under another person’s nails I fidget. LOL
I’m
a night person, not morning. I LOVE nighttime. It’s quiet and beautiful.
I’m
a junk-food-aholic. If it’s not healthy for you, I’m eating it. J
I’m
long winded and talk too much. If you can’t tell from my answers. J
Tell us about the genres you write and what or who inspired
you to write it.
I
write what I like to call paranormal-fantasy. Yeah, I know it’s not an actual genre, but it works for me. J Established genre is
erotic. Because sex is a part of real life and I’m not a fan of covering reality.
What
or who inspired me to write it? I guess it was the books missing from the
shelves that inspired me the most. Then Maggie Shayne, the first REAL
paranormal books I found as a teen. I fell in love and haven’t looked back.
What’s your favorite movie? Why?
I
have too many. However, I can say if they’re action/adventure, horror,
paranormal, documentaries, some comedies and some animations, or
sci-fi/sci-fantasy chances are I’m going to love them. Examples: original
Terminator trilogy, Stars Wars, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Mummy trilogy, Jaws
trilogy, Scooby-Doo (who doesn’t LOVE Scooby? LOL) and the list goes on. J
What’s your favorite TV series? Why?
The
CSI’s, Criminal Minds, Almost Human, Dallas, Revolution, Bates Motel, Under the
Dome, Intelligence, Person of Interest, Elementary, The Walking Dead and
Vikings. Sounds like I watch TV all day, huh? Nope, I don’t. I write all day
until the shows come on, and that’s where I take my breaks. They’re spread out
and work for me. J I LOVE them because they aren’t the stereotypical shows. They’re history,
reality, soapy, imaginative, creepy/freaky and just flat out awesome for my
creative mind. J
Where would you like to go for a week with a group of
friends and why?
I
don’t know. There are many places I’d love to take a group of friends for a
week. I guess one of my ultimate faves would be somewhere along the shores of
Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan. With the beaches, waves, and views. It’s
very soothing and relaxing. Growing up, that’s where my imagination would run
wild with possibilities. LOVED it!
Tell us a few ways ideas have come to you.
Movies
and TV shows are a couple. Sometimes long drives. But the most common way I get
ideas is from my children and their experiences (or what they grumble on about
that entices my mind to go crazy with scenarios, LOL). It’s interesting how it
happens and although it’s annoying (like, when I already have three other
stories going) I have to admit I truly LOVE it. J
Favorite Holiday?
All
of them are my favorites. Each has their own moods and emotions. If I could
only choose one, I would say Christmas and not for the reasons everyone thinks.
I love the spiritual mood of the season. I personally feel closer to Nature and
people during that time of year. I also move a lot slower. I’m not in such a
hurry to get to places or do things, more languid and relaxed.
Favorite Male Movie star?
Too
many. Only one? I’d have to say Mark Wahlberg. He’s just too yummy!
Favorite Female Movie star?
Halle
Berry. Because she rocks!
Favorite author you read as a kid?
Francine
Pascal.
What’s your favorite thing about writing? Least favorite?
Creating
the worlds and characters who dwell there. I LOVE the creation process. Least
favorite…The wait. I’m horrible while waiting to hear back about a submission.
Nerves go crazy and I drive myself (and everyone around me) nuts. LOL
What’s your burning question for your readers?
Does
the theme of Twin Flames prick your curiosity? Does it make you want to learn
more?

Twin
Flames: Soul Destiny
BLURB: Destiny of the Soul…If
you knew your soul designed your destiny, would you follow the path? What if
all you had to do was face the deepest darkest fears within yourself to claim
your destiny, would you do it?
Joy
Lyons-Morgan must face her deepest darkest fears in order to claim her full
destiny at her flame-mate’s side. Will she? The acceptance of their kind is
that everyone has good and bad within them, balanced; she has to face those
elements within herself in order to stand at his side. Can she?
Jairo
Silverthorne knows and accepts the dark within him. It’s part of who he is and
always will be. He now has to wait and watch patiently while his divine match comes
to terms with the same inside herself.
Most
don’t realize the fears that lay inside, they are a part of us. Dictating how
we see the world. Joy and Jairo are given an opportunity to face those terrors
and embrace them.
The pay
out? Their destined future.
